As part of the Turner Classic Movies festival, we'll be presenting Ernst Lubitsch's comedy Lady Windermere's Fan (1924). Lubitsch and his screenwriter Hans Kraly used Oscar Wilde's plot, but replaced all of Wilde's witty dialog with witty film-making, making this one of my favorite silent films. This is the new restoration from the Museum of Modern Art.
